iE33 Ultrasound System

Connected workflow

Philips Xcelera Focus information management system connects your acquisition, analysis and storage functions for smooth and confident transfer and access to patient data throughout the department. Xcelera Focus information management accepts and stores image clips, measurements, and calculations from QLAB. Two USB ports have been added to streamline export and import functions. The DVD drive is also available.

Measurements performed within the QLAB application will automatically transfer to the Xcelera database, work area, and clinical report and benefit from all Xcelera features such as trending analysis for patient follow-up. This functionality provides improved reporting efficiency since transfer of measurements is automated. That means your department workflow is easily accommodated with quantification, storage and review of exam information, on-cart and off-cart. And you can tailor it to your needs.

SmartExam protocol-driven exams

Protocols, on-screen view guides based on exam types, increase consistency from exam to exam and clinician to clinician. With many functions automated, such as annotation, required modes, and measurement reports, SmartExams reduce key strokes, entry errors and, ultimately, exam time. Clinical studies show time savings of up to 50% for some types of exams. Fewer repeat scans are needed due to missed views.

Preset protocols are available for transthoracic, transesophageal, and vascular exams based on accreditation guidelines. Designing a customized SmartExam protocol is as easy as performing an exam—the iE33 remembers the views, annotation, body markers, modes, and measurements. Customized SmartExams can be shared with other iE33 systems for increased consistency across the department.
