Cardiovascular

Nuclear Cardiology

Myocardial perfusion and tissue viability studies of the heart provide a valuable physiological perspective in the diagnosis of cardiac disease.

  • Philips advanced technology delivers superb image quality even with soft tissue attenuation
  • Hybrid imaging systems capture both physiological information (with SPECT or PET) and anatomical information (with CT) in one exam.

CardioMD
CardioMD is a compact, fixed 90° nuclear cardiology camera that brings high quality cardiac assessment capabilities to office practices and hospital departments in ways that work for you, your patients, and the future of healthcare.

Excellent image quality: with performance that meets or exceeds American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) guidelines

Attenuation correction with truncation compensation: Exclusive to Philips, it is the only attenuation correction (AC) technology with truncation compensation proven through published multi-center clinical validation.

Optimized clinical workflow: through JETStream Workspace’s integrated and intuitively advanced clinical algorithms and automation

SPECT/CT
Precedence hybrid SPECT/CT system unites a truly flexible gamma camera with high-end, fast acquisition 16 and 64-slice computed tomography (CT) – with convenient upgrades.

Precedence has the unique ability to combine:

  • Functional myocardial perfusion data with CT based attenuation correction
  • Coronary calcium assessment and Coronary CT angiography.

Functional data defined in relation to anatomical localization will assist in your diagnosis, risk stratification, and help facilitate non-invasive pre-interventional planning.

You will find a greater ability to identify the extent of stenosis with the myocardial perfusion deficits.

PET/CT
We developed the GEMINI GXL PET/CT hybrid imaging system for the non-invasive, specific and sensitive evaluation of:

  • Myocardial perfusion
  • Myocardial viability
  • Cardiac functional analysis
  • CT angiography
  • Coronary calcium assessment

The GEMINI system’s high count-rate capability and heart rate responsive technologies enable comprehensive cardiac studies including Rb-82, N-13 ammonia perfusion studies as well as FDG myocardial viability studies.  Our 16- and 64-channel CT configurations enable high quality CTA examinations.

  • ECG-Gated PET acquisition supports rest and stress heart rates and includes bad-beat rejection algorithms
  • Rate Responsive CT image acquisition technology automatically adjusts to variations in patient heart rate and rhythm during the scan and subsequent image reconstruction

Optional analysis tools (including The Emory Toolbox) help enable a comprehensive cardiovascular evaluation (physiological and anatomical) within a single exam.  One patient visit for two studies gets you results faster and leads to improvements in patient management.
